The Grange is also selling PA State Grange 150th (1873-2023) Anniversary Cookbooks with over 450 pages of recipes from grange members. For each ticket that Howard Grange sells they will make $2. Howard Grange is selling Grange Fair tickets, so you can buy your season tickets from a Grange member. Each member brings a non-perishable item or two to keep the church’s porch pantry stocked for residents who need an item during the month. Everyone is welcome to come and see what the new Howard Grange is all about. Kaye Brown is planning the reunion from her South Carolina home, so if anyone local would like to volunteer to help that would be great. Please spread the word to all your family members so they can plan to attend this summer reunion. This will allow more time to visit since there is a lot of catching up to do. The family hasn’t gathered for a few years, so Kaye is asking for donations instead of holding an auction. Please bring a covered dish to share and your choice of drink for the noon meal. There will be an awards certificate ceremony, too! If you or someone you know is a veteran that qualifies, please send the veteran’s name, address and phone number to of Andrew Dill and Etta Confer will gather for a reunion on July 22 at noon at Pavilion #6 at Bald Eagle State Park. The Howard Grange is participating in the National Grange Patriots Program and needs the names of all the local (living) veterans who served during WWII, the Korean War or the Vietnam War. The school collects the tabs each year to benefit the Ronald McDonald House, so keep on saving the tabs for next school year’s tab collection, too! You can send your tabs in with any elementary school student or teacher at Liberty Curtin or drop them off at the school office this month. Liberty Curtin Elementary in Blanchard is collecting the tabs during the month of May and school representatives will be transporting them to Danville in early June. Save your soda and beer can tabs for Geisinger’s Ronald McDonald House.
