As mentioned earlier, I've read comments from people assaulting small elven settlements and getting regularly wiped out from all the giant animals there. I can't directly confirm this, but I remember reading through anecdotes and !SCIENCE! about how strong large war animals are on a mission. Better just play the long game and buy a matching set of bears, drop in a few barrels of mead, and wait for them to get biblical. but be warned, a large population of giant grizzlies on site means you are probably not going to win. Or hell, just raid their sites and hope to steal them. If you have elves, buy up all their bears, tigers, etc. Yout want to capture as many jabberers as you can, then get a breeding program of the bastards. Open up the lower cavern layers and trap the shit out of them. It's mentioned on the page, but it seems everyone uses minecarts.ĭon't forget to assign a fuckton of war animals to your squads. The transporting magma page on the wiki mentions wheelbarrows being more efficient than minecarts, so how do I dump out the magma into the hole with wheelbarrows? I don't know if you can use track stops like usual, and I haven't really seen much about it when googling it. I haven't caused crap for anyone else since then. On the other hand, I've lost commanders to raids even when everyone had legendary skills. How am I supposed to conquer a dark fortress of 4,000 goblininos + the possible trolls and other pets they have? How many killers should I assemble for this job? 50? Does it even matter what they wear and wield if the commander's battle tactics sucks? I've had legendary dwarves lose on a raid despite being able to destroy forces over 3x their size.Īlso, what's more efficient, asking for smaller sites to surrender and then eventually attacking a dark fortress, or raiding smaller sites for tactician exp and then attacking a dark fortress? On one hand, you get really easy sites, but on the other hand, tactician experience seems worthwhile. Kitfox Discord #modding-discussion channelīronzemurder and Oilfurnace (illustrated)
